Slam!

Ever since the temperature reached -15...SLAM! The colder it gets, the worse it gets! Our front door has horribly aged weather-stripping (original to this 1981 home) that is now covered with ice ... our door won't shut properly now! Jon gets up at 6am each morning and leaves at 6:30...the whold community must know this now with how hard he has to SLAM the door in order for it to close and lock. Two minutes later, Zoe stirs - sometimes she goes back to sleep, a few time she has woken up. This morning it woke me up with such a start that I had it - I called the door & window company! They came, assessed the problem and with fingers crossed, that we'll get the warm weather this weekend (-2 supposedly), they will come to fix it on Monday morning! I hope Sunday will be the last SLAM that we all shall hear!
