Upgrades

The real estate agent told us that a few couples toured this home and were intimidated by the many upgrades needed. Jon and I got excited about taking a home built by one couple in 1981 and turning it into our own, special home. We started with some carpet-to-vinyl and look forward to turning more carpet into laminate (for Jon's allergies and the kids' eczema). We got new weather-stripping on the front door this morning - guess what? - no more SLAM! We are also looking forward to taking some corroded and leaking faucets and replacing them with fancy chrome ones later next week! Piece by piece - like a puzzle - the big picture will reveal itself one day! (P.S. The image is of our cherished Gestabok - a hand-carved guest book from our honeymoon in Iceland)
